settings - The context and environment in which a situation is set; the background.
outward - Purely external; superficial
struggle - To progress with difficulty
fizzle - To fail or end weakly, especially after a hopeful beginning.
gab - To talk idly or incessantly, as about trivial matters.
hassled - bothered, pressured, worried, stressed, under pressure
forceful - persuasive or effective
uneasy - Lacking a sense of security; anxious or apprehensive
flat - unexciting or lacking point or interest
rekindle - To revive or renew
quick fix - A simple solution; an easy way out; A temporary solution;
psyche up - hype up: get excited or stimulated
Pygmalion effect - The Pygmalion effect, or Rosenthal effect, refers to the phenomenon in which the greater the expectation placed upon people, often children or students and employees, the better they perform.
imbed - To cause to be an integral part of a surrounding whole
